Event Description:
Last week, The Times Free Press ran an article about the very cool VW eLabs that have launched in Hamilton County schools. The eLabs are digital fabrication labs, essentially the modern equivalent of Shop classes, equipped with 3-D printers, routers that can cut metal and wood, laser cutters, and more. On Friday, August 31, members been invited to tour one of the high school VW eLabs and the STEM School Chattanooga FabLab, the original model for the VW eLabs. After the tours, Dr. Toby Donen, the founding principal of STEM School, and other eLab leaders would like to briefly meet with us to see how AGC can align with their efforts in building a workforce for the future.
9 am: Tour of VW eLab (we will notify attendees of school)
10:15 am: Tour of STEM FabLab
12 pm: Leadership Discussion
