Event Description:
Silica is a new and stiff OSHA regulation which will be strictly enforced in late June. All employees introduced to an environment containing any type of silica dust, should receive this training before being assigned to a jobsite.
- Identifying the materials and tasks that create silica hazards;
- The dust-generating operations that will be undertaken and how the employer plans to control the dust;
- The health risks; and working safely with silica, including proper use of equipment, protective clothing, and appropriate hygiene practices.
